The Koinonia Foundation of Wake Forest has faithfully led the way in helping meet the needs of both community organizations and individuals since 1990. Personal Benevolence Requests
Benevolence requests for individuals in extreme need who live in the Wake Forest-Rolesville -Youngsville, North Carolina, areas may be made by calling the Koinonia Foundation Benevolence Chair Donna Corey at 919-263-0015 or complete and submit the form on our Contact page.
Please note that The Koinonia Foundation is unable to fulfill requests from individuals with addresses outside of the communities of Wake Forest, Rolesville or Youngsville.
These are one-time, emergency assistance payments made directly to where it’s needed. For example, instead of money given directly to individuals, Koinonia makes a direct payment to a landlord if rent is due or a utility for a missed electric or water bill. We do not give money or make payments directly to an individual.
Non-profit Grants
Grant recipients represent non-profits in our community who help fulfill needs of our neighbors.
The Koinonia Foundation accepts grant requests from local non-profit organizations serving the Wake Forest, Rolesville and Youngsville areas. Applications can be submitted online from April 12 through June 1, 2024 on this website.
Funds raised at our annual Koinonia Dinner & Auction will be dispersed to qualifying non-profit organizations and individuals (in extreme need). All non-profit groups local to Greater Wake Forest (Wake Forest-Rolesville-Youngsville area) are encouraged to apply.
2024 Grant Schedule
Here is the 2024 Grant Application/Selection Timeline:
April 12, 2024: Online Grant Applications available on the www.koinoniawf.org website. Complete the online application here
June 1, 2024: Grant Application submission deadline
June 11, 2024: Koinonia Foundation Board reviews/selects Grant recipients during monthly Board meeting
June 25, 2024: Grant recipients notified and invited to August reception
August 13, 2024: Koinonia Foundation Reception for Grant recipients/checks issued
